3/4 kilo of berries (fresh or frozen) 1 tub of cottage cheese 1/4 cup of sugar 1/2 tablespoon of powdered gelatin juice of 1 lemon broas or ladyfingers brandy, port wine, or sherry (optional)
Heat the lemon juice for a few seconds in the microwave, and dissolve the powdered gelatin. Let cool for a while. Wash fresh fruit if using, and thaw and drain the liquid from frozen fruit. Beat the cottage cheese and sugar. Combine with the gelatin and lemon juice mixture. Gently fold in the fruit into the cheese mixture. Line the bottom a cake pan with a layer of ladyfingers quickly soaked in liquor (if using). Pour in the fruit and cheese mixture, and top with another layer of ladyfingers. Let chill for at least 8 hours before serving.
