Pierce each potato all over with a fork. This helps release the steam.
Oven method: Wrap the potatoes loosely in aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 hour. Open the foil during the last 10 minutes to make the skin crispy.
Microwave method: Place a potato on a microwaveable dish and microwave on high for about 3 or more minutes, depending on your microwave's power, until the potato is tender through the center.
Serve topped with cottage cheese or yogurt with spices instead of sour cream.
