I just take the Kirkland Multivitamins and so far it's been working very well! And Berocca really helps right when you feel like you're about to get sick. I take two of those at night and wake up feeling so much better.

Hi,

I got this very sensible advice from a nutritionist. Multivitamins should only be taken if you are deficient of it. Your diet is still the best source of vitamins plus minerals, that, if you are eating the right kinds of food.

Kung deficient ka talaga then go ahead and take one. Otherwise, you're just throwing away your money, because your body is just going to excrete them. So if you have a poor diet, like you don't eat lots of fruist and vegetables and often eat fast food, take vitamin supplements. But if you eat very healthy, you are probably wasting your money with most vitamin supplements. Omega 3 fish oil supplement is one of the most common.

Cheers,

  • Basic multivitamin
  • Vit E 200
  • Magnesium 133mg & Calcium 333mg
  • Vit C 500mg (non-acidic)

I've also started taking Biotin but for vanity purposes. It supposedly helps improve nails, skin, & hair growth.

For magnesium & calcium, the recommended dosage is to take 3 tablets daily which comes to 400mg magnesium & 1000mg calcium. But ever since I started eating a lot of yogurt, and more fresh produce I've cut it down to 1 tablet.

I take all the listed vitamins right before sleeping since I'm usually in a rush in the morning and have a tendency to miss a dose. Actually, I also pack everything I need for the next day the night before because of my tendency to forget stuff when rushing in the morning.

We're the same, I also take my vitamin/mineral supplements right before sleeping instead of in the morning after breakfast coz I tend to forget in my rush.
