A good motivation to cut back on food cravings.

Food cravings can either be expensive or cheap but nevertheless will help you save money if you won't give into it.

What do you usually crave for and how much do you spend for it? If you can save money from not eating extra, what will you buy for yourself?

Sometimes, I don't like the food at home enough to want to pack a lunch, so I choose to eat out. Unfortunately, if I have to eat healthily, I might have to spend a little more...since I don't really eat fast food, I often spend about 300 pesos per meal, plus a 100 coffee. Wow, even if I just eat out once a week, that already adds up to 1,200 a month!

I'm saving up for either an overseas trip (Singapore or Japan), or a MacBook Air.

I love visiting the supermarket with my Mom. I  enjoy going from aisle to aisle ang get a good buy as well as find a new product in the market and try it. However the chips and biscuits section never fails to lure me. To satiate my cravings, I buy a small pack of chips for example, but only one pack and eat it slowly when I get home. I try not to deprive myself but rather prefer to eat in moderation.

In the past, a friend from our church taught me how to save and write down everything  I buy in a notebook. At the end of the month, I can go over it and cross out the things I should not have bought. This way, I am able to be in control the next time I purchase something unnecessarily and this has become a habit ever since.

Great idea to keep a record of your expenses. I am now trying the envelope system where I pre-allocate a certain budget for everything so I'll only spend within the allowance.

Thats a really good method of taking note of what you realize you didnt need after all. Has it helped you save better?

I like this idea, quite frankly!

This means that you are going to save a lot of money instead of eating too much of all the auxiliary snacks.

Also, the great thing about this idea is when you decide to prepare your own blueberry muffins which you can control massively, in terms of what goes in it and what you like about it.

Great idea here that will surely benefit a lot of people!

I usually crave for burgers, mexican food, pizza, pasta and whichever it is that I see on food blogs. (I think I should really STOP reading food blogs).  This is actually a great idea. One of my goals this year is to be more financially independent, and this will help a lot.  While at the same time, help me reach my fitness goal as well.

Oh yes.  Its a good idea.  I'm thinking of buying a new pair of reading eye glasses from the money I could save.
