hello...I just would like to ask if aside eating any kind of food i prefer to eat fruits, is it good? That means at breakfast ,lunch and even dinner I eat only oatmeal and any kind of fruits. Is it good for? Thank you!

Hi Cecille!

Eating fruits every meal is good. However, eating the same kind of food every meal is not quite healthy since "no singel food can provide all the nutrients your body needs"  The principle MO-BA-VA applies to this.

Eat in MOderation- the right amount

Eat with BAlance- the right sources of food (energy, muscle repair and building, body regulating foods)

Eat with VAriety- the right kind of food

I hope this has answered your concern

Hi Thethel and Nanette!

There's no harm in eating fruits after each meal. It is actually a good option for a dessert and a good source of vitamins and minerals. However, for some case like if you intend to lose weight, you have diabetes or you have gastric problems, the kind of fruit matters in your diet.

As Dr. Claude Chauchard recommends for losing weight, you can eat fruits during 4-5 PM only during the whole day because this is where you insulin is high and can compensate for the high amount of sugar in your blood after eating fruits. Eating fruits at this time of the day is said to give you a natural glow. You can have lemon, lime, and orange at any given time of the day specifically  when used in cooking.

For diabetics, it is recommended that you should eat fruits along with other food items in order to balance you blood  sugar level. Citrus fruits are recommended for people with diabetics since those are generally low in glycemic index.
If you are suffering from acidic stomach, better to aboid citrus fruits and eat something starchy instead like banana, ripe mango, and papaya. Remember to eat in moderation as these fruits are quite high in glycemic index. A piece or a slice will be enough every after meal for a balanced diet.

Stay happy and beautiful, Belles!

No, it's not true. One of the current nutritional guideline is to eat 2 - 3 servings of fruit a day. It doesn't matter when do you want to eat it. Eating fruits after a meal acually lessen your cravings for something sweet. A piece of fresh fruit is definitely a healthier alternative than a sinful dessert.
