Total Sauna anyone tried it before?

posted by suzanneong on 12-01-2009 à 08:54

I saw this product in TV, I was wondering if it works.

It's called "total sauna", it's like taking a sauna bath but in the comfort of your own home, the difference from the sauna we actually go to is that your face won't be exposed to the sauna heat, only your body, but do you think it will work?

it's quite expensive I think around 5K-6K so I"m not sure if it is worth it?

Any advice?

i suggest you just buy something that will cover yourself from the neck down. Then buy a water heaters that is being sold in ace hardware.

Put a pail of water under a plastic seat.  You cover the plastic seat with towel/s so that it wouldn't be that hot when you sit down. Cover your body from neck down. Using the water heater, you start boiling the water and the steam that will come out from here is like steam sauna. I think this is what they do in some slimming centers where you sit down and your neck is exposed.

Try it, it might be helpful though I haven't tried it myself.

I haven''t tried Sauna but my friend told me that this is also a way of losing weight and remove your unwanted fats. She felt that she was in a pressure cooker and taking out all her perspiration. And after that, she felt good when she decided to make it a habit and do this once in awhile. I am looking forward to try this and experience what my friend experienced.

Hi Suzanne,

Saunas will work for your SHORT TERM goals, meaning, if you want to lose weight in 2 days, by spending time in the sauna, you could lose a few pounds. However, this weight loss is very temporary. The pounds that you shed is merely water weight and you will probably gain it as fast as you lost it.

There are no shortcuts to losing weight. Best way to go is diet + exercise!

I agree with Victoria, just save your money!

hmmm.. all info in the net is telling me to save money especially with regard to Sauna Portables, abs belt - the vibrating heating infrared belt..

I am blinded with all the promises these magical devices can do. But I have to say, despite all FACTS, I am still looking forward to having those stuff. hehehhe

ok, actually I was thinking that it was more of for "tanggal lamig" rather than for weight loss use, bec. when we are in the office, or I'm sleeping with my son, we are expose to aircondition, my "manghihilot" suggests that sometimes we have steam baths or sauna to sweat out some of the "lamig", I'm not a sweaty person, it will take like more exercise for me to start sweating... that's why... I don't know if it will help though, they are saying that this total sauna at least your face will not be totally exposed to the steam so you can relax more rather than in the real sauna where in it's hard to breath..

Can't breathe in the sauna. Can't last there for more than five minutes.

I've always been skeptical of saunas. All you'll lose is water. This one honestly looks like a tent that just comes with its own steamer. I say save your money.
