What do you wear when you work out?

posted by victoriacastillo on 22-06-2009 à 08:27

When I started going to the gym to take aerobics classes in 2003, I'd just wear a loose shirt and jogging pants.

When I'd just work out at home with a jump rope, I'd wear a sports bra, just to keep cool. I found out that I also needed a sports bra while doing all that jumping!

Now that I regularly go boxing, I still wear those sports bras, because they're made of Dri-Fit material. I usually wear old thin shirts, but there are a few times I can't resist buying a new Dri-Fit sports top. I've also had to ditch the jogging pants for shorts, so I can kick properly.

What about you Belles? Do you dress up or dress down for workouts?

Every morning, I used to jog within the village. I wear jogging pants and cotton sleeveless to move freely. When I'm at home and do dancing as my exercise too, I just wear shorts and sleeveless. Simply any type of clothes for exercise will do as long as you're comfortable to move.

anything comfortable, not too loose that u can get jammed with the machines, not to tight that could cut ur circulation, and light colored shirts than dark ones.

I don't like to show skin at the gym. I always wear jogging pants and a baggy shirt. Makes me not think about people staring if I'm sweaty

I always believe that one should look their best, whether at the gym or not. Skip the makeup and perfume though :)

I'm a joggaholic. So, most of the time im using jogging pants and loose shirts. I just love wearing anything that's comfy  and choose a  perfect  pair of running shoes that's important to avoid  foot blisters. OUTCHH!

i like wearing loose shirts cause its easier to sweat and you tend to seat more  but i do some dancing sometimes  prefer tighter shirts or plain tees or my usual p.e t shirt . so cause sometimes loose shirts or big shirts tend to be more heavier than the usual so its hard to move with all the extra air inside .

  • Yoga pants that end mid-calf or long cycling pants
  • Plain tee
  • Nylon hoodie
  • Ankle socks with trainers

The  above outfit makes it so easy to move around. I must confess, given my heaviness, the outfit actually makes me look very athletic and sporty. Big plus!

I wear drifit work-out tops and either flared jogging pants or below knee dri-fit pants.  Wearing the proper workout attires helps in motivating one to continue with exercising even if you only do it in the confines of your home.

Shorts and leggings for me.

My workout requires showing as much of your arms and legs as possible so you don't slide off the pole. So usually a sports bra, tank top and men's boxer briefs. It's also the least restricting outfit so I get to do all my poses properly.

Even when it comes to stretching and sit-ups at home, this outfit is a good option. It keeps my body from overheating and since I'm usually alone when I do this, I just ditch the tank top and wear just the sports bra.
