Hello there, Belles!

Have you recently checked your weight these past couple of weeks? I think it's about time that you consult our dearest friend, weighing scale.

How much did you gain over the Holidays?

How do you feel about it?

What plan of action do you have in order to get back on track?

Share it here and let us support each other.

Gaining weight is reasonable over the Holidays but keeping that excess weight is not permissible.

I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know! Now I can eat my bread and rice in peace. (Just at moderate amounts). :) I love bread!

Yup! It's all about getting a balanced diet, from good and nutritious sources of food. Specially since you're working out...you need quick energy, in the form of carbs, to fuel your workout. When I once went boxing after skipping breakfast (because I woke up late), I felt dizzy and weak during my workout. Not a good feeling at all.

I was in total agreement with you...until the white rice and bread. There's no need to give them up. Just don't go beyond 1 1/2 cups of rice per day (so you can have 1 cup at lunch, then 1/2 cup at dinner, or in reverse), and bread, no more than 2 slices per meal, that is, if you're not having rice.

This wasn't really gained over the holidays, but from the past 3-5 months when I experienced stressed and changes in my life. But since losing all this excess weight is my goal this 2012, I thought of sharing it here:

I now weigh give or take 140lbs and stand 5'4". My goal is to shred of 20 lbs and slim down to a healthy 120lbs. I plan to work out 3-5x a week with the use of our elliptical trainer at home, free weights, and exercise videos. I also plan to up my water intake. And also, no more chips (I'm a junkfood addict) and no more white rice and bread.

I'm scared to weigh myself.. I don't fit into my pants anymore. I need to start losing weight!

Goals:

1. Work out at least 4x a week (Plana Forma + circuit training)

2. Eat less at night

3. Have one dessert/day
