If it's a dark spot from peklat, then i can attest that vaseline whitening works. there are even more potent ones like eskinol ata. two weeks with that and your peklat scars are gone! :)

Just be sure to apply it daily to that one scar. if its a keloid tho, then of course whitening will not work.

Good luck!

Hi Jhaile! What exactly does your scar look like because there are several kinds of scars.

Please please please consult your doctor (preferably your dermatologist or plastic surgeon) before trying any of these yourself because they can be expensive and can cause allergies if you skin is sensitive:

If it's only darkening of your skin due to cuts and burns, try using Allantoin+ Cepae Extract+Heparin (Contractubex Brand) Gel on the scar, Apply a thin layer over the scar 3-4 times daily and massage until absorbed by your skin. This one is less expensive and non-prescription. Just make sure you're not allergic to parabens before using it. (Parabens are preservatives found in most make-ups so if you're not allergic to make ups, it's pretty safe to try this one.)

If your scar is raised (this is called a hypertrophic scar), or raised and larger in size than the original skin injury (called a kelloidal scar or keloid), try sing Silicone dioxide+ Polysiloxane (Dermatix Brand) Gel. Apply a thin layer over the scar twice a day and massage until absorbed by your skin. Dermatix Gel is very expensive, though. It can cost several thousand pesos per tube.

These are not for acne scars. Do not use them on your face unless you have been seen by your dermatologist and they have approved its use for facial skin. Again, please consult your doctor before using them!
