Feng Shui

posted by bluestar on 05-12-2008 à 06:11

Who here practices (at least some elements of) Feng Shui?

I try to incorporate some elements every now and then.... I'd like to believe it does sort out the positive and negative energies somewhat.

Most Chinese do practice Feng Shui, My in law are so obsessed, she even ask the temple if all the positions of the house is correct...

Well most of the time it is correct though, like when you change a small element if improves something...

in Stores, never put a clock or face a clock directly in front of your store main entrance... it will lessen the customers... 1 of my friends tried it... after moving the clock away from the front of the door, their customer increases...

Some of the basics I know...
1. Bathroom floor should not be higher than the floor of the room.

2. Never put water and fire at the same line, like sink and stove... bec. it contradicts each other...

3. Never position the bed in front of the room's main door

4. The Main gate of the house should not have any electrical post directly in front like on the neightbor st.  it cost bad luck.

5. The number of steps going to the main door of the house is usually 5 steps the fifth step is already the living room.

and more...

please also share an explanation for better appreciation:)

In my house, we've even had to reposition our front door to adhere to Feng Shui, because of the direction. So, yeah, we had a big gaping hole in our house for a week. I'm not exactly sure if it helped. My family's not even Chinese, but they like to practice it a lot.
